Before starting your registration with KUCCPS, it is recommended you know the vital things you must know concerning your registration, ranging from, application requirement, application procedures, registration fees, and lots more.
KUCCPS Registration Requirements
For a candidate to be eligible to apply for placement, the following is required:
- A Kenyan Citizen governed by Chapter Three of the Constitution of Kenya and the Kenya Citizenship Act Cap 170.
- Sponsorship will be eligible to all applicants provided that the KCSE Candidates of the year preceding the selection and those who have never benefited before are given priority.
- The minimum admission requirement to apply for degree programmes will be C+
- The minimum admission requirement to apply for a diploma will be C-.
- The minimum admission requirement to apply for a craft certificate will be D.
- The minimum admission requirement to apply for an Artisan certificate will be E.
- Applications shall be subjected to minimum subjects requirements from regulators and training institutions where applicable.
KUCCPS processes candidates application for placement on merit. Some of the factors they consider include;
- Students Performance in the examination
- Available choices in the course selected
- Available spaces or capacity in the university or college
- Affirmative action for gender
- Persons with disabilities
- Candidates from marginalized regions
KUCCPS Registration Fees
How to Apply to KUCCPS
To register with the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service -KUCCPS, follow the instructions below.
You need your full KCSE Index Number; type it in the slot provided on the Login page, without the slash (/)
The password is your KCPE Index Number/Birth Certificate Number
- Visit www.kuccps.net
- Login to the student portal
- Access the login button and click on it (Enter your KCSE Index Number, Year of KCSE and your password KCPE Index or Birth Certificate Number.
After the registration processes, hold on and wait patiently as KUCCPS processes you Application.
Registration Fee
KUCCPS charges Ksh. 1500 for the first applicants and Ksh. 1000 for revisions.
How to pay KUCCPS application fee
You can use the below steps to make the payment.
- Go to the M-PESA menu on your mobile phone.
- Select the Pay Bill option.
- Key in the Business no. which is 820201.
- Enter your four-digit exam year for the account number, followed by the 11-digit index number.
- Put in the amount.
- Lastly, key in your M-PESA PIN
- Click on “Submit”
Successful applicants will be communicated to through emails, make sure to providse a valid email address.
