Applying for a scholarship at Egerton University is a simple process. Here’s how to get started;

- Collect all necessary documentation, such as academic transcripts, a personal statement, financial statements, and letters of recommendation
- Download and Fill out the application form ensuring that all required information is accurately provided.

Egerton University Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria;
- Must be joint admission board (JAB) students, self-sponsored students are not eligible
- Must be continuing student in 2nd year and above
- Have exemplary academic performance with a minimum and sustained Cumulative Weighted Average of 70.00 (First Class Honors)
- Proof of need as evidenced by needs assessment report from the dean of students
Interested and eligible students should send their applications to the Director, Board of Undergraduate Studies and Attachment Programmes enclosing the following:
- Certified copies of the previous year (s)provisional transcripts.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the University Chief Security Officer
- Needs Assessment Report from the Dean of Student
- Recommendation letter from the Chairman of the Department and Dean of the Faculty
- Copy of Student Identification Card
- 2-page resume indicating affiliation to clubs and any other qualification as evidenced by certificates /testimonials.

Higher Education Financing Scholarship Requirements for Application
- Applicant’s valid email address and a valid telephone number
- Applicant’s KCPE and KCSE index numbers and year of examination
- Applicant’s Passport size photo (in jpeg/jpg/png)
- Applicant’s copy of the National ID/Maisha Card (both sides in PDF)
- Applicant’s valid bank details or valid MPESA number (registered under the applicant’s name and ID number)
- Parents’ National ID and registered telephone number
- Copy of Parent’s death certificate if deceased (in PDF)
- Applicant’s birth certificate in PDF (if applying as a minor)
- Two guarantors’ ID numbers and registered telephone numbers (Can be parents)
- Copy of the sponsorship letter (in PDF) if sponsored in Secondary school
