Office of the Principal Prosecution Counsel
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Qualifications
- Postgraduate Diploma
- For an appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- A cumulative number of seven (7) years relevant experience from the date of admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya; (ii) Served for at least two (2) years at the level of Senior Prosecution Counsel DPP 7;
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
NOTE: Possession of a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
An officer at this level may be deployed at any of the Departments at the Headquarters or a County Office. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking, taking over or discontinuing prosecutions on assigned cases;
- Implementation of prosecutorial policies and guidelines to ensure quality service delivery;
- Implementation of individual work plans to ensure that the activities are directed towards the achievement of the strategic plan;
- Complying with the principles of National values and principles of Good Governance, Human Rights and transparency to gain the trust of stakeholders;
- Preparing court documents and argue applications and petitions;
- To lodge and prosecute appeals;
