KUCCPS Revision of Courses Begin
Criteria of KUCCPS Placement for Degree and Diploma Programme
KUCCPS processes candidates application for placement on merit. Some of the factors they consider include;
- Students Performance in the examination
- Available choices in the course selected
- Available spaces or capacity in the university or college
- Affirmative action for gender
- Persons with disabilities
- Candidates from marginalized regions
Process of 2022 KUCCPS Placement
After revision of courses the process will culminate into the final selection of students for admission to universities and Tvet institutions.
Students will then be sent admission letters from the universities where they have been successfully admitted.
Most Universities start admitting first year students from August onwards.
NOTE: Each University has its own admission date after you have been placed.
KUCCPS Selection of Students to Universities in 2023
Selection to universities will cater only for the KCSE Candidates while placement to TVET institutions will take care of other previous years, from the year 2000 onwards.
2023 KUCCPS Inter-University Transfer (inter-institutional change)
To ensure candidates join courses and institutions of their choice a 1 month window will be opened in May 2019 for the selected students to apply for inter-institutional transfers using the KUCCPS portal.

If you are not able to apply online, you can visit any of the 28 institutions listed below From February 24 to February 29, the Placement Service will set up desks in the following institutions to advise and support applicants.
TVET Applicants Eligibility
1. For an applicant to be placed, he/she must be a Kenyan Citizen, Must have sat for KCSE as prescribed by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or equivalent under the KNQF.
2. The Placement Service places students for TVET programmes topublic TVET institutions including Technical Training Institutes,Technical and Vocational Centres and National Polytechnics registered as members of KUCCPS.
3. TVET provides an opportunity for all eligible applicants. Students who sat for KCSE, as well as those who sat for KCPE, can enrol for TVET programmes in available institutions countrywide.
KUCCPS places KCSE TVET applicants based on the following qualifications: Grade C and C- for diploma programmes, Grade
D+ and D for Craft Certificate programmes and Grade D- and below for Artisan programmes.
Note: KCPE applicants can also apply for TVET programmes by enrolling directly to those institutions.
More information on the application process, available programmes, universities and colleges, previous cut-off points and applicants’ cluster points is accessible through the Placement Service Student’s Portal students.kuccps.net under Downloads. All applicants are advised to observe the application deadline.

NOTE: Even if you did not do your KCSE exams from any of the listed counties above you can visit one of the institutions for application and revision of courses. Visit any that is near your current place of residence.
