KUCCPS Intake Application Forms.

The details needed for a successful application are uploaded on this page after the KUCCPS Online Application Portal is opened.

The online application will open until February 20 for the TVET Continuous Placement to Diploma, Certificate, and Artisan courses.

Procedure for KUCCPS Courses and Programmes Registration

Step 1:

First, visit the KUCCPS registration page and click on Applications/Revision.

Step 2:

Enter your index number in the first tab, then the year you took the KCSE exam, and finally the birth certificate number following the details provided to KNEC.

If you failed to enter your birth certificate number during the KUCCPS registration process, your password should be your KCSE index number.

Step 3:

All programs have minimum subject requirements. You must apply for a course for which you meet the requirements; however, the selection process will be based on your overall performance and available capacity.

Click COURSES/PROGRAMMES after you have successfully logged in to the KUCCPS Student Portal. You can also use the Institutions tab to search for courses by institution.

To narrow down your list of courses to apply for, select the courses and programs that interest you and move them to the Course Basket.

After you have finished choosing your courses, you will enter the program codes. You will do this by using the Application/Revision tab.

Confirm that the program codes entered correspond with the courses you would like to apply for, then submit and follow the application fee payment instructions as below.

Step 4: KUCCPS APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT, KUCCPS Mpesa Paybill number

a) Pay the required amount through your mobile phone by Mpesa, following the instructions below:

  • Go to M-PESA on your phone.
  • Click on the Bill menu item.
  • Enter Business No. 820201.
  • Enter the KCSE Examination year followed by an 11-digit INDEX number, e.g., 201401234567891, as your account number. (no space)
  • Enter the amount.
  • Enter your M-PESA PIN and send.

b) A payment confirmation message will be sent to you from Mpesa. On receipt of the confirmation, continue with the application process. Keep the Mpesa message since you will require the Mpesa transaction ID to confirm the changes made.

Step 5:

Log out when you have finalized the KUCCPS application. By doing this, the KUCCPS Student Portal’s registration information for you will remain secure.

KUCCPS Application: Applicant Choices

  • Applicants with an overall grade of C+ and above will be allowed to make a maximum of eight choices of both degree and diploma programmes
  • Applicants with an overall grade of C- or above but below C+ will be allowed to make a maximum of six choices from diploma programmes.
  • Choices 1(a), 1(b) and 1(c) must be similar programmes while Choices 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 can be any other programmes for both degree and diploma programmes

KUCCPS Application for Gender Affirmative Action

  1. Lowering by up to 2 points on the overall cut-off point for degree programs for female applicants
  2. reducing the program’s specific cut-off points by a maximum of two points, provided that a third of the participants in each gender are represented and that the program’s stated capacity is not exceeded by more than 10%.

KUCCPS Application for Minority and Marginalized Groups: Affirmative

  1. The minority and marginalized groups are as contained in the Commission for Revenue Allocation (CRA) policy for identifying marginalized areas
  2. if 10% representation is attained, lowering the program’s cut-off points by up to two points

KUCCPS Registration for Applicants with Disabilities

Applications with impairments can download an application form from the KUCCPS website, which needs to be certified by:

  • The head of the school
  • A registered medical practitioner
  • The National Council for Persons With Disabilities (NCPWD)

These application forms will be considered by the KUCCPS Board. The affirmative action will be:

  1. Placing all degree applicants with an overall grade of C+ and above and having visual or hearing impairments subject to meeting the minimum admission requirements for their degree choices.
  2. Lowering by 3 points below the overall cut-off point for degree programs for applicants with physical impairments subject to meeting the minimum admission requirements for their degree choices.

CHECK YOUR PLACEMENT RESULTS.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) released the placement of students to universities and colleges. Applicants can check their placement results in any of the following ways:

Checking the Placement Result through the Student’s Portal (Free of Charge)

Log in to the student portal (students.kuccps.net) and view your placement results on the dashboard. The login credentials are:

  • Applicant’s KCSE Index Number
  • Applicant’s KCSE Year
  • Password (Applicant’s KCPE Index number or Number) SMS (Charges Applicable)
  • Send your KCSE index number by SMS to 20842, starting with your KCSE year (example: 202212345678912).
  • You will receive a response indicating the programme and the institution in which you have been placed. (Charges: Ksh25 per SMS.)

Checking of Placement Results through the Huduma Centers

Alternatively, applicants may seek the information from the KUCCPS officers based in the following Huduma Centres: Nairobi (GPO), Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nyeri, Meru, Narok, Kakamega, Isiolo, Kitui, Thika, Kitale, Narok, Garissa, and Nakuru; or at any Huduma Centre cybercafé.
